Liz obtained her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to this, she completed a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology at Western University. Liz's interest in health and wellness began at a young age through a passion for sport, nutrition, and finding balance between work and play.
Throughout her years of study, she worked as a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor. This gave her exposure to treat a wide variety of individuals holistically, from those who desire to move more, to weekend warriors and athletes competing at the Pan-Am Games.
Liz has experience and interests in treating peri- and post-menopausal women, using extensive testing such as the comprehensive Dutch hormone test. Bioidentical hormones, supplements, and herbs can be used to address hormone imbalances and restore optimal health.
In addition to her traditional naturopathic modalities, which include nutrition, Chinese medicine and musculoskeletal acupuncture, herbal medicine, supplements, and mental-emotional well-being, Liz has additional certifications in Intravenous (IV) Therapy and Cosmetic Acupuncture.
IV Vitamin Drip Therapy involves the infusion of high-dose vitamins and essential nutrients directly into the blood stream, bypassing the gut. This encourages better uptake by the cells compared to traditional methods of administration such as oral capsules, as each individual absorbs nutrients differently via the G.I tract. It is used to address chronic pain and fatigue, fibromyalgia, exercise performance and recovery in athletes, headaches, anxiety, depression, acute viral illnesses, and more.
